Making friends as an adult is weird
You move to a new city, or your old crew scatters, and suddenly there is no easy way to meet people. Friend apps feel forced. Networking events feel like work.
Sports just work. You show up, play a few games, grab water with someone after, and a few weeks later you have a crew. The hard part was never the playing. It was knowing when a game is on, whether anyone is coming and whether you will fit in.

Everything a game needs, nothing it does not
Pickup handles the coordination: open games on a map, matchmaking when you just want to play, weekly runs that keep themselves going and a chat for every park.
When a group gets serious, it grows with them. Clubs get members and their own games. Leagues get schedules and standings. Parks departments can post closures that reach every player at once.

What we believe
Parks, not feeds
Pickup is built around real places. Every park has its own games, regulars and chat, so the app is always pointing you outside.
Fair games
Matchmaking lines people up by level, time and distance, so a first-timer and a former college player do not end up guarding each other.
Safe by default
Your parks are shared, never your home. Reporting and blocking are one tap away, and rosters for leagues and clubs stay private.
Free to play
Finding and joining a pickup game is free. Hosts can charge to cover a court, and clubs and leagues set their own fees.
Who makes it
Pickup is made by Big Boy Apps LLC, a small independent team that got tired of showing up to empty courts. We play on the same courts you do, and we read every message.
