Content Moderation
To maintain a safe environment, user-generated content (including profile photos, images, and text shared in chats) is processed through AI-powered content moderation services (OpenAI Moderation API) to detect inappropriate or harmful content. This processing is automated and does not involve human review unless content is flagged.

- Other Users: Your profile information and game participation are visible to other Pickup users

7. Location Data
Pickup uses your device's location to show you nearby games and parks. Your precise location data is processed locally on your device and is not stored in the cloud. We only store your general location (city/region) for app functionality.
Background Location & Park Arrival
If you enable the "Park Arrival" feature, the App uses background location services to detect when you arrive at parks you've subscribed to. This feature:
- Uses geofencing technology to monitor proximity to your subscribed parks
- Continues to work even when the app is closed or not in use
- When enabled through privacy settings, automatically shows your presence at a park to other users
- Can be disabled at any time through the App's Privacy Settings or your device's location permissions
Background location data is processed locally on your device to determine park arrival. Only your presence status (at a specific park) is shared with our servers when you arrive, not your precise GPS coordinates.
You can control all location permissions through your device settings. Disabling location services may limit App functionality, such as finding nearby games and park arrival notifications.
8. Automated Decision-Making
We use automated content moderation powered by OpenAI's Moderation API to review user-generated content before it's posted. This automated system:
- Purpose: Detect and block harmful content (hate speech, sexual content, violence, harassment)
- How it works: Text and images are analyzed using machine learning models; flagged content is blocked or requires manual review
- Consequences: Content violating our guidelines may be blocked or your account may be restricted

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
